Reluctant Heroine
The violence, especially having to kill, disturbs Shelby greatly but she has to force herself to keep going if she wants to survive and complete her quest.

I created this artwork to illustrate one of the more important aspects of Shelby’s character. Although Shelby was taught how to use a gun, she never in her life imagined she would actually need to use it one day. The very thought of having to kill anyone or anything greatly disturbs her. She’s not your typical “kill everything in sight without giving a damn” action/adventure character. It’s one of the character aspects that separates her from most of the adventure heroines I’ve read/seen in other media.
I first created an artwork like this in November of 2016. I decided now to create a new version in Poser 12 Superfly with the updated Shelby Bly character. The new version isn’t an exact copy, and it isn’t meant to be as I made various improvements. I think I like this version much better.
