Notes

When I’m not actively working on something like my game mods or my art, then I am probably doing exactly what I portrayed in this artwork… lingering in bed and staring at my phone until I fall asleep regardless of the hour of night or day. It’s not depression as I am not depressed. It’s all stress. I am completely and totally stressed out beyond comprehension and no amount of medication or relaxation seems to be helping. Maybe getting back to my art will help? I’ve only been back to it a few days so it’s hard to tell yet.
Technical Notes

This scene was rendered in Poser 12 with an infinite light outside the room to project “sunlight” through the windows and then a tiny area light to project light coming from the iPhone. Getting the hair to lay on the bed and pillow correctly was the biggest pain in the ass. I used a combination of the morphs included with the hair plus used Poser’s built-in morph tools a lot both on the hair itself and on the pillow prop. The only thing that took me longer than that to get right was her pose and expression which I tweaked, rendered, tweaked, rendered, tweaked… so many times that I lost count. All in all, it was worth it. In postwork, I added glows to the iPhone and the digital clock then used a couple Photoshop actions to play with the colors and contrast. I also used a new filter from ON1 to smooth out some of the scene’s render noise. I still need to learn more about using that filter.
