I’m still not feeling very “Merry Xmas-y”, but I did at least feel like creating this last night and today; a holiday portrait. I just had to use that stunning holiday headpiece somehow! The sweater dress is from a texture set I didn’t finish in time for the holidays, maybe I’ll still finish it as maybe it isn’t too late. It’s more winter themed than holiday themed anyway. I’ll think about it. Anyway, I may not be in much of a holiday mood right now, but I like how this artwork turned out.
Technical Notes

I rendered this portrait in Poser 12 with Superfly render engine using two lights; a main “area light” to the left and an extra light to the right to highlight her hair. I also added a colored IDL sphere to add some faint global light. The background originally rendered “wrong” so rather than change it I decided to render the scene with depth of field to blur the background so it would look “right”. It worked! In postwork I added a few Photoshop actions to play around with the color, some adjustment layers, a soft vignette effect, a soft grunge edge/border, and then my logo.
