Early Summer 2024 News
I am finally back to work on my art projects. For now, anyway. I had to take a break due to health problems, family health problems, etc. Speaking of health problems, I will have to have surgery on my foot next month and will be unable to walk for about 4 weeks. I expect to spend the majority of my downtime on my PC working on my art projects and Sims 4 mods for Simularity. That doesn’t mean I’m not working on anything right now. Although I will soon have to take a break to get things ready and figure out the logistics of how to get around after the surgery, until then I am working on a few projects.
First off, I finished a new character for La Femme 2 that I had started on back in January of this year. I had her all finished except for rendering the promotional images. Well, I rendered those finally and submitted her to Renderosity. She was just released a couple days ago and can be found here: D9S Hikari for La Femme 2. I have two more products finished and in the queue for release over at Renderosity. The first is a standalone addon for my Dream Hair Superfly called Dream Hair Superfly: Fantasy Colors. It should be released sometime in early July. The other new product is another new character named D9S Winston for L’Homme. He should also be released sometime in early July.
Right now, I am working on two new products, but I have no idea yet when they will be finished or released. The first is a clothing texture set for Tipol’s 40s Paris Dress for La Femme 2. I plan to make the textures all based on designs from 1940s dress patterns and photos. I have five sets of textures (for the dress, hat, and belt) started. I want to add more details to each set and create at least one to three more sets. I may include or create a matching addon for Tipol’s 40s Shoes for La Femme 2 that would be released as a Free Stuff item. I haven’t decided yet. I will probably release this clothing texture set first (as my next product after Dream Hair and Winston) depending on how long it takes me to complete as I have another product also in the works.
The other new product is a new character for La Femme 2 whom I am naming “Maia”. I’ve finished all of her morphs and base textures along with a variety of eye colors, eyelash styles, and brow styles. I still need to create the makeup option textures then material presets, etc. I’ll create a new Works in Progress post shortly that will show previews of everything I have in the works and soon to be released.
In other news, I (Dream 9 Art) have officially left the shitshow that is Twitter. You can now find me at the following social media websites: Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and Tumblr. I also have a presence on DeviantArt and don’t forget my personal blog site, The Artist in Wonderland.
I am also in the process of updating my “Notebook of Artwork Ideas”. Once I finish updating it with improved and newer ideas, I’ll get to work on some new artworks for you all! You may, or may not, have noticed a change in the Art Gallery. I removed the “Futuristic SciFi” category as it only had two artworks in it. I renamed “Magical Fantasy” to “Wondrous Fantasy” and added the two scifi artworks to it. I also created a new category called “Star Saga” which will feature all of my Star Wars fan artworks.
