Padme Amidala
The noble Senator Padme Amidala in just a “few” of her memorable outfits.

(Action White)
This is the outfit that she wears for the action scenes in the third act of Attack of the Clones. I used a displacement shader to give an extra texture/feel to her cloak. When rendering this preview, I realized that her skin needed to be a shade darker, so I fixed that in this preview and my other Padme previews. I’m thinking about making the torn variant of this outfit, but I haven’t decided yet. I probably need to redo my Padme face morph first as it no longer looks quite right to me.
(Action Magenta)
This is how she appears during the Clone Wars series when there is “action” to perform. Also, that blast coming from the blaster isn’t postwork but instead a prop that I am still working on making look good. The Naboo Blaster prop was created in Blender by an unknown artist and was then fixed and made Poser-ready by my good friend Verica Hupe. Thank you again, V! Padme just wouldn’t be the same without that blaster.
I updated her hair model with my latest shader and fixed its fit to her head. I also redid all of her skin textures as the old ones just weren’t up to my standards anymore. I tried to make her face even more like Natalie Portman, but it probably needs a bit more work. The blaster fire effect was rendered inside Poser using a similar method as I use on my lightsaber beams. I wasn’t sure if blasters have muzzle flashes or not because if they do then they must be “blink and you miss it” since I didn’t notice it last time I rewatched the movies.
(Lake Gown)
I’ve been dreaming of having this gown in my runtime (or IRL, but runtime will definitely do!) ever since I started working with Poser way back in 2003 after seeing Attack of the Clones which is the movie this dress was featured in. This gown was created for me by a very kind and talented friend whom you can find at DeviantArt here: Ilia-Mae on DeviantArt There was something wrong with the UV maps though that I couldn’t figure out and I hated to trouble Ilia-Mae again, so another friend from the RenderHub Discord fixed them for me in just a couple of minutes. I’m so glad it was a simple fix! I then textured the gown and created a translucent fabric shader for the main gown and a sort of lacquer-type shader for the neck and arm pieces. I plan to experiment more with this gown in the cloth room and see if I can make it “floatier” as the gown is in the film.
