Nothing Hurts Now

I used the scene from my 2013 redux of this artwork and then updated/upgraded it piece by piece. I used my latest SSS skin shaders for the angel, my latest hair shaders for her hair, and added a new broken heart prop by Poisen of Renderosity with my own materials. I also created a new IDL light setup with a strong rim light to give her an angelic glow. I then took my render into Photoshop and worked on it all night long trying to get it to look “just right” with tons of adjustment layers, overlays, PS actions, filters, and more. I also added a glittery halo over her head using Rons Glitter in postwork.
