Art Contest Winners
I’ve won a few art contests over the years, more than listed here but I can’t remember them all off the top of my head and some of the websites have gone with the wind so it’s impossible to look them up (Like RuntimeDNA and Shadowness). Here I am listing, and hopefully will continue to list more of, my artworks which have placed in various contests.
This artwork which I titled “From Our Past” won 2nd place in the 2018 Renderosity Holiday Art Contest where the theme was “Ghosts of Christmas Past”. I think this was the first time I placed in a major art contest. At least it’s the first I can vividly recall.
This artwork, Festive Azure, won 1st place in the 2019 Renderosity Holiday Greeting Card Contest! This not only won 1st place, but it was also used as the design for Renderosity’s greeting cards that year that they sent out to everyone. I can’t recall if they sent me one too or not. I hope they did and that I can find it sometime! I also need to give credit to my mom for this one. It was her idea to put far more gift boxes under the tree and ornaments on the tree than I originally had. I doubt it would have won if I hadn’t listened to her.
In 2020, Poser Software by Bondware had their first art contest. (I can’t recall if they’ve had any since, but it has been quite a while if they have.) The contest was called “Let’s Stay In” and I won 1st place with this artwork, Staying In! I got a free copy of Poser 12 when it was finally released which was awesome in addition to other prizes.
This artwork, We’re All in This Together, won 2nd place in the HiveWire3D Art Content titled “We’re All in This Together”. The Hivewire3D website is now gone so I can’t link to it. The artwork had to depict the current theme of the time and use a number of available HiveWire3D products. This was 2020.
My most recent contest win was at Renderosity for the 2025 Holiday Contest which was themed “Season’s Melodies”. My artwork, Gingerbread Latte, won 2nd place! I actually entered this artwork just because I wanted more Reward Points for the entry since I didn’t think it really fit the contest’s theme. It was just an original artwork I made for the sake of it and not for the contest specifically. I had three other entries that were more closely linked to the contest’s theme (Season’s Melodies). Well, I’m now glad I entered this one at the 11th hour!
