Here we have a brand-new redux of one of my first Superfly artworks from 2020. One of the main problems with that original render was that Milo had no shoes since there were basically no L’Homme shoes to speak of at the time and certainly no work boots. Now there are! Also, he was too clean. I took care of that as well with some dirt and mud brushes. I had to be careful with the color of the dirt and mud or else it would look like he was a sewer worker. I did make a few other changes, such as lighting and hair model. Overall, I like this version much better.
Technical Notes

I rendered this scene in Poser 12 with Superfly using a variety of lights that I honestly lost track of while I was setting them up. Mostly area lights, I think, in various positions around the central figure in varying intensities. The shirt and jeans are dynamic cloth which had to be calculated before rendering, first the jeans and then the shirt. After a few fixes here and there with the morph tool, I used my usual high quality render settings to render the scene. In postwork I used a couple Photoshop actions to play with the colors and contrast then added a vignette effect. I also painted on (in three shades of brown) mud and dirt to the figure’s jeans and boots using Photoshop brushes. I then painted a light “dusting” of dirt over the entire figure using layers. To make the dirt and mud blend in, I adjusted the opacity of the layers with the mud and dirt brushed on them.
