Spring Portrait

I just received an amazing gift; a Nvidia GeoForce RTX 3060 GPU!! It renders 10x faster, or more, than my old GPU. I had trouble deciding what to render first until I decided that I needed a new avatar for my social media profiles. So, I decided to create a “spring themed portrait” to use for avatars and this is what I came up with. Normally I would have had to let a scene like this render overnight (the original render is much larger than what you see here) but it only took about an hour and half with my new GPU! Amazing! Now to figure out what to render next…

I rendered this scene in Poser 12 with the Superfly engine. I used a rather weird light setup that I put together in a weird way. I just sort of kept putting in lights, disabling lights, then moving lights around until I got something I liked while completely losing track of what I was doing. Other than that, it’s a rather simple portrait. I skipped doing any postwork in Photoshop and took it straight into Lightroom where I tweaked it until I got the look and feel that I was going for. I only did a little tweaking; it’s almost a raw render. The only Photoshop work was to put my logo onto it.
