This new piece came from an idea I had in 2009 that I have recreated more times than I care to remember. It was originally called “Fear”, and it was something I came up with while having a bad reaction to a new medication that had me feeling scared of my own shadow among other weird side effects. This new version I think will be the last, I think. One never knows about me…
Technical Notes

I rendered this scene in Poser 13 with the Superfly render engine and an HDRI as the sole light source. To create the volumetrics, I used a prop from the Level-Up Superfly set by Afrodite-Ohki and then rendered the scene with depth of field. I used a very small focal length for the camera to fit everything into view and to give it a sort of “distorted” look. Postwork was minimal.
