The Muse

Although immersed in a landscape of colorful subjects, the Muse is still frustrated and cannot decide on what to paint next.

Notes
This is actually a redux of a concept I first came up with back in 2009. You see, I was browsing Deviant Art where I was surrounded by all sorts of wonderful art but couldn’t think of a damn thing of my own to create. I’ve recreated this concept a few times over the years but could never get it “right”. I think I finally did it. At least, I like this version for now. I was surprised that it didn’t take as long as I thought it would to render what with all of those flowers and plants. It only took about 8 or 9 hours for the full-size render (much larger than what you see here). It was my mom’s idea to put a single brushstroke on the canvas so here’s me giving her credit for that element. The outfit the muse is wearing is from my latest “Muse for Mai Outfit for La Femme” set now in the Renderosity Marketplace. I tried my best to give the scene an ethereal feel rather than a realistic one; sort of dream-like. I hope I succeeded!
