Falling to Pieces

It didn’t take much for it to all start falling to pieces. Now it’s just a matter of time.

Notes
I created a similar artwork to this back in late 2021 when it became crystal clear that my dad was suffering from dementia. Dad is far worse now and I needed to express these feelings again. In the original, I think the cards represented the future. Now, I think they are representative of a nervous breakdown I’m having thanks to all that is going on (mostly with Dad or due to his dementia affecting everyone else).
Here is what I wrote for the original version from 2021:
Needless to say, I’m falling to pieces and so is everything else. The idea for this artwork came to me easily. I haven’t made an emotional piece like this in quite a while; haven’t been in this sort of emotional state for it in a while. I’m trying to rebuild myself, once again, but it will take time and a lot of work. Hopefully my next artwork, which I’ll begin work on momentarily, will be of a less depressive nature but this needed to be expressed.
