I’m Working on It
Well, I’ve been working on a lot of things lately. I wrote a to-do list that was almost three pages long several days ago (which I keep adding to) and have checked off a whole lot of things on it since then. I’ve done a shitload of cleaning, but I have a lot more cleaning yet to do. I have to get the downstairs cleaned up within the next week or so due to the fact that the techs will be here next week to install our new Fiber internet (which, by the way, is HALF of what we’re paying now for less speed). I still have some cleaning upstairs to do (rip up or throw out several empty boxes in one room, vacuum all rooms, and I think my bathroom counter is overly cluttered again). I’m going to focus on the living room first as that’s where it is most needed soonest. Not only are we getting the Fiber installed, but Mom also needs to get her new chair delivered and the old ones thrown out.
I also plan to decorate my space some more. I hung up as many of my framed prints as I could on my south and north walls. So now, I must deal with all that empty space on my east and west walls! Shutterfly had a huge prints sale (with free shipping no less), so I ordered some more prints to frame and hang up on those two walls. You can see the south and north wall photos below. If you’re wondering about the arrangement of prints on the south wall… well, I originally just hung up a few to cover up the holes in the walls left by all the shelving I had on that wall. After that, I just started filling in the spaces between those I had already hanging up. I rather like how chaotic it looks. There are still some icky places on that wall. I’m thinking of mixing up some touch-up paint to fix said icky places. I’m fairly good at matching paint colors so it shouldn’t be too much of a chore. I think.
I finally moved my computer back up to my office room! It’s so nice to be back up here in my Fortress of Solitude! I also switched out my old PC tower for the new one and put that new office chair together. You can see both below. The tower is so cool to look at (there are two more RGB fans on the top of the case, so it is well cooled) and the chair is so comfy. How comfy is the new chair, you ask? Comfy enough that I don’t need to add my ass pillow!
Every year, I purchase a 6×6″ hardcover book showcasing my best artworks of that year. In 2023, I didn’t have enough artworks to fill even half the book (it was a very slow year, art-wise) so I didn’t create one for 2023. Well, when I ordered those above-mentioned prints, I thought that although I didn’t create much art in 2024 either, I did have enough for a book if I combined the two years. So, I now have my little art book for 2023-2024. You can see it and my other books below.
I haven’t created a single artwork this year as I have been fully focused on my Sims 4 modding. I decided to take this week off from modding to get all the cleaning done but I will have the occasional breaks to rest. I could, I suppose, use those breaks to create something new. I don’t know. Hanging up the prints of my old artworks and making that little book has awoken my muse to some small degree. I’m on such a break from cleaning right now, but I’m too exhausted to really think.
