It took a while to get this Mark Hamill likeness to look “just right”. Turns out that I was missing an important feature, his butthole chin! Once I sculpted that, his look came together.
I darkened his hair color a bit this time as it seemed to get darker in each progressive movie. I also fixed his pose for this preview after rewatching Return of the Jedi and realizing I had totally gotten the “salute” wrong. Now it’s accurate! I decided to tone down the light emission on his lightsaber as it was too bright before and overwhelmed the scene.

The M4 Rebel Pilot helmet I had for Luke came with the wrong texture. I had to paint a new texture for his helmet that’s as close as I could get to how you see it in the movies. I aged it up a little too with some scratches. To show you what a stickler for detail I am, I noticed you could see some of Luke hair under the helmet visor in A New Hope so I added some bangs to this Luke under the helmet… and you can’t even see them when rendered! LOL
